Dana
Fuchs is an artist I found while searching for Etta James on
YouTube. I then discovered she appeared in a movie called Across
the Universe which is a love story based on Beatles songs. An
interview took place in NYC and was aired on WCSS 1490 the following
morning.
Dana
Fuchs singing I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James.
One word describes this performance. SOUL! Enjoy these videos.
Dana
Fuchs doing Helter Skelter by The Beatles
Dana
Fuchs singing Song Bird. An awesome groove!
This
song shows the pure qualities of Dana's voice: Moments Away.
Dana
Fuchs singing an original called Bleed More. This is the acoustic
version. WHAT A VOICE!
Another
Dimension of Bleed More. This one is electrified!
Mick Jagger presents John Lennon with Eric Clapton
playing guitar, Keith Richards playing the bass, and Mitch Mitchell
(Jimi Hendrix Experience) drums. Lennon was the coolest Beatle!
Yer Blues
Clapton and Richards look like they are 16 years old in this
one.
Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow and David Sanborn
on Sax playing a Jimi Hendrix song. Does it get better than
this?
This one goes out to Ringo Raspanti who sat in my living room
and watched Clapton duke it out with Sandborn solo for solo
16 times. We laughed hysterically each time. Sandborn is amazing
on his solo and nearly passes out from hitting the high notes.
Amazing performance.
Amsterdam's Dan and Mandy Beck - The Honey Creepers.
Cool funk/punk/edge.
I
have been watching this guy for over a year now. We met in an
online musicians web site and he has just produced his first
CD out of his apartment. A cross between Harry Connick Jr. and
Maroon 5. I am not sure how else I can describe this artist.
It is his originality that I like.
An
interview took place on The Vibe in November of 2007.
CLASSIC!!! Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and
Chuck Berry learning "Understanding Each Other"
Joan Osborne - Midnight Train to Georgia
This one is insane. Only BB King could pull
a cast like this to one stage.
BB King, Phil Collins on drums, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton,
Etta James, Gladys Knight, Shaka Kahn
and many more.
Fleetwood Mac - Silver Spring. Just love the
simplicity of the lead guitar in this one.
8-year-old shredding like a mad man
6-year-old drummer. INSANE!
7-year-old drummer on Johnny Carson. No words
for this one.
This is what happens when your force your kid
to stay in his room!
When was the last time you walked into church
and Steven Tyler was on the alter singing Amazing Grace?
Alicia Keys.. True talent!
D'Angelo w/ David Sanborn and Eric Clapton doing
a Bill Withers song - Use Me
Robert Randolph - Nothing more to say. A world
of his own!
Cool version of Tom Petty's "Stop Draggin
My Heart Around" with Joss Stone and Rob Thomas
Soul Sessions was by far her best CD (and first).
